Today, HCS middle and high school students traveled to the Hamilton Theater to watch Lincoln, which focuses on our 16th president's leading of change to unite our country and abolish slavery. As Mr. Jarcho shared with students in forum, the fact that this viewing comes within a week of MLK Jr. Day, a day focused on the expansion of human rights, makes this opportunity even more meaningful. Surely, this movie will unite our middle and secondary learning communities and lead to conversations that are authentic, compelling, and inspiring.
A huge thanks to The Hamilton Theater for organizing this event for our students and teachers. The Theater's educational programing fund, supported by the Hinman Foundation and the McNeiece Foundation, is an invaluable resource for our community.
